January One Monthly Goal

This year I'm going to try and play along with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and set one main sewing goal each month. For me, 2017 will be all about slowing down and taking the time to savour each project, rather than trying to finish a million things. Today I'm sharing my goal for January: to finish my Modern HST Sampler quilt.

Last year I participated in a fabulous quilt-along (hosted by Alyce at Blossom Heart Quilts) and sewed 24 different HST blocks. I used a combination of Kona solids and low volume prints for each of my blocks.

I've already sewn them together into a quilt top but have been putting of the finishing steps because it has been really hot in Melbourne. I'm hoping to get this quilt finished this month because I've already started on the 2017 quilt-along!

  1. Those are wonderful blocks. I love the colors you've chosen. Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal.
